Business Expo Provides Shuttle Service, E-Waste At Event In Rye Brook

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A shuttle service, running between the Hilton Westchester in Rye Brook and parking at 800 Westchester Avenue across the street for the Westchester Business Expo on Wednesday, March 18, is just one of the perks being offered for the event. Valet parking and e-waste disposal will also be available.

Red Oak Transportation, one of the sponsors of the Westchester Business Expo, will provide shuttle service for guests at Wednesday's event at the Westchester Hilton in Rye.

Wexpo sponsor Red Oak Transportation will be dropping guests at the entrance of the Hilton every 10-15 minutes, where a Clancy Relocation & Logistics truck will be accepting e-waste.

Clancy and Progressive Computing have partnered with The Business Council of Westchester, the expo host, to feature a special e-waste collection truck where participants and locals can drop off tablets, PDAs, laptops, printers, televisions, projectors and more from 1-5 p.m. You can find the complete list of e-aste products they are accepting here.

The Business Council has worked closely with the Westchester Green Business Challenge in the past few years to raise awareness of e-waste and help local businesses become more environmentally friendly through their green certification program. The Business Expo also features a Green Aisle, where people can find Westchester’s green businesses and service providers, many of whom offer energy efficient and renewable energy solutions for homes and businesses.

Another perk for exhibitors and guests comes from another expo sponsor, Gentle Giant Moving Company, which will assist the more than 180 vendors in bringing materials and items to their respective booths. More information about Green Giant is on the expo website.

The expo is the leading business-to-business trade show in the Hudson Valley, with local companies showcasing their businesses in front of nearly 1,500 business professionals. The expo runs from 1-5 p.m.  and keynote speaker Brandon Steiner will begin his address at noon.

Steiner, CEO and Founder of Steiner Sports, started his company in 1987 with only $4,000 and one intern. The company now has over 100 employees and brings in $40 million a year in sales.

Visitors of the expo will find new resources, learn about new companies and products, get ideas on how to solve current challenges, expand business opportunities, enjoy food and beverage and network with colleagues and vendors. Tickets will be available at the door for $25. Parking for attendees and staff members is $8.00.
